Meyer Bergman wants to expand its stake of the Galeria Katowicka project to 70 percent, according to Polish media reports. The British company wants to place the project in its Meyer Bergman European Retail Partners I fund.
“The decision to increase our stake in the property proves our confidence in the Polish market, which has now surpassed ones in Eurozone and in CEE due to the quality level and the potential of the assets,” said Markus Meijer, founder and chief executive of Meyer Bergman. “We believe that the number of tenants we’ve already acquired shows the potential of this location.” Neinver will manage the €200m shopping mall, which is scheduled to be completed next year.
