Carpathian leaves Romanian market

Following five years of continuous loss, the British investment fund Carpathian is leaving the Romanian market.

The company disclosed that it’s sold off the last of its Romanian properties, Baia Mare, for €300,000. The land, purchased by Carpathian in 2007, covers an area of ​​nearly 60,000 sqm, and was valued at €6.5m, according to the news portal Economica.net.

The new owner, Atrium Centers, is planning to develop a shopping center on the site.
