Wrocław puts retail plot near stadium on sale

8 August 2012

A 66ha plot of the land, located in the area of Śląsk Wrocław Stadium, has been put on sale by the city of Wrocław, with the asking price set at PLN 80m. There was a shopping mall planned for the plot just few months ago, that was expected to bring as much as 200,000 sqm of new space to the retail market. The mall was designed to house 150 stores, along with restaurants and service points. The project was designed by Zygmunt Solorz-Żak, who owns the Cyfrowy Polsat media platform, and Wrocław’s football team. After Solorz-Żak’s decision to withdraw from the investment a few months ago, the city decided to sell the land.
