Eurostat: Retail sales rose in Poland in June

The retail sales rose in Poland in June by 0.1 percent year-on-year, according to Eurostat data, following a drop of 1.1 percent in May. The report published by Eurostat also includes the smallest Polish businesses, employing less than ten workers, such as family stores. According to the report, it’s the small companies which are now dragging sales down, with the biggest discount chain posting their sale increase in May.
According the Polish Statistic Office (GUS) sales in the retail sector rose in Poland by 6.4 percent in June compared with the same period in 2011, and 2 percent month-on month.
