The German DIY retailer Hornbach opened its fifth store in Timisoara with a sales area of 22,500 sqm. The store, a €30m investment, added 120 jobs to the local market and sells some 120,000 products. Hornbach entered the local market in 2007 and has since opened branches in Bucharest, Brasov and Timisoara.
It has invested €148.3m. in Romania to date. Hornbach reported a turnover of about €71m in 2010.
