Roland Nátrán has been named the new CEO of the Hungarian export and import bank Eximbank and the Hungarian Export Credit Insurance company (MEHIB). Both have recently become the property of the Hungarian state, so Nátrán was appointed to be CEO by Hungarian National Eco Minister, György Matolcsy. Nátrán was Deputy Secretary of State of the Ministry for the National Economy, where he was responsible for various aid programmes for debtors and also for creating the transaction tax. Eximbank is extremely important for the government, as the government wants to support and finance Hungarian exports to increase their competitiveness on international markets and to motivate foreign companies to invest in Hungary.
