The expanded Centrum Černý Most shopping center has been BREEAM certified as “VERY GOOD”. The new certificate confirms the sustainable approach of its developer Unibail-Rodamco. It is the first building in Prague to achieve this level of certification in the retail category. “A focus on the environment is one of the most important commitments of our company, which is reflected through the entire construction of the new Centre Černý Most shopping center,” said Arnaud Burlin, Unibail-Rodamco Managing Director for Central Europe. “The latest materials and construction technologies were chosen in line with a sustainable development policy to minimize impacts on the environment not only during the construction but also within the operation of our shopping centers. Therefore, we are very proud that BREEAM has confirmed our approach is right.” The new Centrum Černý Most is scheduled to open in spring 2013. It will offer approximately 160 retail units in its 82,000 sqm.
