The retailer Profi’s Romanian network has grown to 120 stores, following the opening of two new units in Cluj-Napoca and in Timisoara.
The first one is a 650 sqm, while the second covers 386 sqm. Profi is owned by Enterprise Investors, a Polish private equity company, which has changed the store’s format from a discounter (as it was at the beginning of 2012) into a neighborhood proximity store.
Profi reported RON 1.04bn in sales last year, up 29 percent y-o-y. The retailer plans to open about 30 new outlets this year.
