The Czech network of Schlecker drug stores has finally found a new owner: the local Czech company p.k. Solvent (PKS) has bought it to expand its drug store chain Teta. The price of the transaction has not been disclosed. Through the acquisition PKS will secure 20 percent market share. Teta, the strongest drug store brand on the Czech market, currently operates a network of 700 outlets, while Schlecker has 145. Schlecker’s German mother company has been in bankruptcy since January.
