The traditional #Lieblingsmakler Rudkowski & Hag has expanded its team with five locations and 25 employees of EVPB Immobilien GmbH as of 1 June 2024, making it one of the largest real estate agents in the Cologne region. As a result of the merger of the two companies, the family business will grow to around 50 employees and nine locations in Cologne, Aachen and the Rhine-Erft district. Erten Dörter, long-standing managing director of EVPB Immobilien GmbH and former Engel & Völkers licence partner of the five locations, will act as managing partner of Rudkowski & Hag in future.
The Cologne-based family business Rudkowski & Hag, which is currently managed by Michael Rudkowski and Philipp Hag in the second generation, stands for modern and personalised marketing, especially for single-family homes and apartment blocks from the Eifel to the Ruhr region. By expanding to five locations, Rudkowski & Hag can not only expand its activities and develop further business areas, but also benefit from the expertise of the 25 or so new employees who have been taken on. This makes Rudkowski & Hag the largest bank-independent brokerage firm in the Cologne region and positions it as the market leader. Erten Dörter, who with his teams has played a key role in the successful development of Engel & Völkers in the Cologne area over the past 17 years, brings a wealth of experience and exciting future topics with him.
#Favourite estate agent on the road to success
Rudkowski & Hag has built up a considerable fan base in recent years under the name “Lieblingsmakler”, and not just on social media. Despite major challenges, such as the interest rate turnaround, the company has been able to strengthen its own position on the market and continue to develop successfully, particularly in the past two years. “We have shown courage and expanded our business despite the tense market situation. We have been rewarded for this in recent years. The takeover of the new locations is the next step for us to further improve our customer service and raise our quality standards to the next level,” explains Michael Rudkowski, Managing Director of Rudkowski & Hag.
Opening of a new location later this year
Another step in this direction is the opening of a new location in Erftstadt-Konradsheim in a prime location. “We know that the competition never sleeps and that the demand for professional property advice increases, especially in volatile times like these. We are therefore delighted to be opening a new branch in Erftstadt this year to cover the rural areas around Cologne in particular and provide people with advice and assistance,” emphasises Philipp Hag, Managing Director of Rudkowski & Hag. He continues: “Personal and expert advice at close quarters is one of the most important cornerstones of our consulting services.”
Focus on modern and personalised marketing
Rudkowski & Hag sets itself apart from other estate agents and focuses on innovative and customised marketing concepts. With passion and decades of experience, they not only find customers a new home, but also offer them a positive experience along the way. “Rudkowski & Hag shows that property marketing also works differently and sets new standards in the industry with passion and innovative practices. The deep understanding of the market, coupled with the curiosity and courage to embrace change, has confirmed my decision to become part of the team and to further expand and help shape Rudkowski & Hag’s business with my five locations,” says Erten Dörter, explaining his decision.
For existing or future customers of both Rudkowski & Hag and the five former Engel & Völkers locations, the merger will not result in any changes, except that they will be able to benefit from a larger team and a continued high-quality service offering in future.
