The number of companies that suspended their activity in the first three months of 2024 was 6,014, up by over 33 percent compared to the same period last year, according to data published by the National Office of the Trade Register.
The most companies that suspended their activity were from Bucharest, respectively 772, followed by the counties of Cluj (333), Braşov (268), Iaşi (268) and Timiş (243).
In the field of construction, 566 suspensions were registered (plus 62.64 percent).
In March 2024, there were 1,686 suspensions of companies, the highest number being recorded in Bucharest (222) and the counties of Cluj (100), Iasi (82) and Bihor (70).
