The largest specialised outdoor clothing and equipment store in the Czech Republic has opened in Prague near Masaryk railway station. It is the 30th branch of Rock Point. Customers will find three floors and 1300 sqm full of equipment for outdoor and sports activities, especially running, climbing, trekking or ski mountaineering. More than 130 outdoor brands are represented, including Patagonia, Dynafit, Ortovox, Salewa, Osprey, Hannah, KEEN, Rafiki, Tilak, Garmont, Hoka and many more. The store also includes interactive elements such as a climbing test wall, a test table for the karts and interactive screens to facilitate the selection of the range. Of course, there are professionally trained staff to advise on the right products.
“For many years we have been trying to pass on our enthusiasm for outdoor sports activities to our customers through the selection of the range, expert advice, professional seminars or training in the mountains that our employees attend. In the new and still the largest store in Havlíčkova Street, we have tried to concentrate everything that Rock Point stands for in the Czech Republic and what customer values it professes. The widest possible range of goods, first-class presentation and advice are the attributes on which our new store is based. We are targeting a demanding customer and I am convinced that we are able to meet their needs,” says Marek Kýhos, CEO of the Outoor Concept group, which owns the Rock Point retail chain.
The store is divided thematically according to the main activities that Rock Point represents: hiking, trekking, running, camping and in winter, above all, ski mountaineering and ski mountaineering. The store offers over 500 models of backpacks from 10 brands, over 130 sleeping bags, over 100 models of running shoes from 8 brands or over 50 models of climbing harnesses and almost the same number of models of climbing shoes.
In addition to sales, this branch also focuses on additional services related to the outdoors, such as outdoor equipment test days. The store also includes a dispensing room for e-shops rockpoint.cz, hannah.cz, keenfootwear.cz and rafiki.cz and the largest Prague rental shop for skialp and other outdoor equipment.
Rock Point is a well-known network of stores and e-shop with outdoor equipment. The company has been operating on the Czech market since 1997, when a small group of outdoor enthusiasts set up the first shop with equipment they used themselves during their adventures. Their goal was to bring inspiration and to allow others to enjoy what they love most – moving in nature, adventure and pushing their own limits. These visions are the cornerstone of Rock Point today. In addition to sales, Rock Point has long supported unique outdoor events and projects, such as the Czech Trail or running, climbing and skialp races and interesting expeditions. The company emphasizes ecology and sustainable business and is a member of EOCA, a non-profit organization that brings together European outdoor companies that contribute to the protection of nature.
