Colliers has announced its support for the expansion of Vermont Holding, a major fashion retailer that carries some of the world’s most recognizable brands.
Colliers assisted the new Vermont Store in finding exclusive premises and successfully negotiating lease terms in Prague’s U Prané brány Street, which is known for its long history and strategic central location.
This premium retail space was transformed into the company’s exclusive flagship store, with a generous floor area of 435 sqm and an interior designed by the famous Italian architectural studio in close collaboration with Vermont’s owners and the local team.
“U Prašné brány Street and its surrounding area is a popular location for high-end fashion brands. In recent years, it has become home to some mono-brand and also multi-brand premium stores,” says Marjan Gigov from Colliers. The owners of Vermont Holding had a vision for their flagship store and were willing to wait until a truly unique space on representative location was found, and they were not willing to accept any compromise. Their desired space was ultimately found in this unique Renaissance building with a direct view of the Prašná brána (the Powder Tower) and the Prime High Street, Na Prikope street. The store’s modern interior was designed by the famous Italian architect and designer Marco Donati who relies on originality, the highest quality materials, and elaborate details.
Vermont Holding owns franchises for over 15 premium and high-end fashion brands throughout the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and Austria. The most successful and widely-known brands in Vermont’s portfolio for these markets include GANT, Karl Lagerfeld, DIESEL, Odd Molly, Peak Performance, Camel Active, Manuel Ritz, Trussardi, Missoni, and Paoloni. The company operates almost 100 brick-and-mortar stores in the region: 43 of them are located in the Czech Republic. This retailer representing global fashion brands is the biggest of its kind in the Czech Republic. The new Vermont Store in U Prašné brány Street is its largest sales outlet to date.
