The Swedish furniture retailer IKEA will inaugurate, most likely by the end of this year, its third store in Romania, in the town of Dumbrăvița, near Timisoara. The company is working on the interior finishes and has started the recruitment process. The company needs more than 200 employees.
IKEA officially started construction work at the end of November 2021 and announced a completion time of around 12 months.
The IKEA store near Timișoara has 26,000 sqm built and requires an investment of EUR 60 million. It is built on a plot of 85,000 sqm, will include a restaurant, a cafe area and a children’s playground, 780 parking spaces and a warehouse.
