Revenues of the AmRest Group amounted to EUR 507 million in Q1 2022, an increase of 33.4% y / y, the company said, presenting preliminary data.
Easing the COVID-19 restrictions in all markets where AmRest operates, except China, combined with operational excellence and increased efficiency in the digital area, resulted in the highest revenues for the first quarter in the history of the group. This means consistently generating better results in most of the group’s history. The progressing revival of sales in the dine-in channel contributed to the increase in consolidated sales of AmRest, which in Q1 2022 amounted to EUR 507 million and increased by 33.4% compared to the previous year.
The comparable sales ratio in restaurants reached 127.8% in Q1. The share of operating restaurants in AmRest’s portfolio at the end of March was 99%, which was slightly affected by the recent lockdown in the Shanghai region. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has caused a severe humanitarian crisis and severe economic disruption, the duration and intensity of which remain uncertain. The company is closely following developments in the region and continues to support initiatives to help those in need, it also said.
