Electrica, a distributor and supplier of electricity in which the Romanian state through the Ministry of Energy owns 49 percent, has budgeted for 2022 losses of RON 342 million, compared to the losses of RON 553 million recorded in the previous year, while revenues would increase by 50 percent, to almost RON 11 billion.
Thus, the company would record losses for the second consecutive year due to high electricity prices. Expenditures on purchased electricity and natural gas are budgeted at RON 8.7 billion, plus 53 percent.
