Serbia’s government said it frozed the retail prices of petrol and diesel in the next 30 days in a bid to alleviate the impact of the global fuel prices surge on living standards.

The ceiling for Euro diesel and Euro premium BMB 95 was set at EUR 1.52 per litre, according to the government statement.

“The government passed the decree on limiting the prices of petroleum products in order to avoid greater disturbances and maintain the living standards of citizens, considering that the prices of petroleum products increased in the previous period, which directly influenced the growth in prices of all other goods and services,” the cabinet said in a statement.
