Natural gas warehouses in Poland are 83% full, in Germany – 50%, throughout the European Union – at a level similar to that in Germany, said Maciej Małecki, Deputy Minister of State Assets.
“Russia has limited the supplies of gas offered in the spot formula, limited gas transmission to Western European countries and the levels of gas in warehouses in Western Europe have been significantly reduced. Against this background, Poland fares very well, because our gas storage facilities are 83% full, in Germany it is 50%, in the scale of the entire European Union – similar numbers,” said Małecki during his speech in the Sejm.
At the beginning of September 2021, the president of the Polish Oil and Gas Industry (PGNiG) Paweł Majewski informed that the gas storage facilities managed by PGNiG are approximately 90% full, while in Europe – at 50-60%.
