Allegro: 30.1% of Poles buy during sales only in online stores

30.1% of respondents buy only in online stores during the sale, according to a study by Allegro and SW Research. Only in stationary stores he buys 20%. Black Week on Allegro will start on November 22nd and will end on Cyber ​​Monday on November 29th.

“Sellers who joined Black Week on Allegro in the previous year recorded higher sales – about 250-300% more items sold than on the average day. Even more benefited those whose offers had the free Allegro Smart delivery option! It is also worth mentioning, that 80% of our sales as part of Black Week’s special offers came from external sellers, which are usually small or medium-sized companies,” Aleksandra Sroka-Krzyżak commented on Allegro’s strategy director.

According to a survey conducted by Allegro and SW Research, 30.1% of respondents buy at sales only in online stores (for comparison – only in brick-and-mortar stores – 20%). They want to save time (59.4% of responses), avoid crowds (51%) and believe that the online offer is richer and at better prices (approx. 40%). Almost 7 out of 10 respondents have already used Black Week offers in the past, and almost 90% of the respondents replied that they managed to hunt down a really satisfactory discount during this time.

Until recently, Black Friday sales were most often associated with discounts on electronic gadgets. As more and more stores join each year, this perception is changing. According to the respondents, the best discounts should be expected in fashion (47.6%). , household appliances and audio / video devices (47.5%), the aforementioned electronics (46.4%) and the category of cosmetics / perfumes (32.3%), according to the company.

Over 48% of respondents have already used this shopping festival as an opportunity to buy gifts in the past. In turn, 19.1% of respondents had not done it before, but declared that they would use this year’s Black Week for this purpose. Most respondents (21%) indicated that they planned to spend between PLN 251 and PLN 500 for purchases, and 16% – up to PLN 1,000, it was also said.

The study was commissioned by Allegro and carried out by the SW Research agency. The data is based on the responses of 1,065 surveyed Poles aged over 16, matched to the Polish population in terms of age, gender and geographic location. Data collection took place from 25 to 27 October 2021 through e-surveys via SW Research panels.
