The largest Czech retailer of bathrooms and kitchens, Siko, which has over 50 stores in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, last year increased its turnover by seven percent to CZK 4.3 billion. This was stated by the company’s representatives at a press conference on Wednesday. They did not disclose profit data. At the same time, they informed that they had invested CZK 150 million in Swiss Aqua Technologies (SAT). Thus, according to them, Siko has expanded its portfolio with patented inventions with ecological added value. The profit will fall slightly with regard to closed stores and the move to a more costly online environment, but it will be in the order of only one percent, the company’s representatives said. In 2019, the company had a consolidated turnover of CZK 4.02 billion and EBITDA before taxes, depreciation and interest amounted to CZK 437 million.

“Our goal is to bring water in the best possible quality, as well as products that will help save it. The path to this goal was not easy. In the end, we decided to invest in our own ideas. We teamed up with the inventor with Slovak roots František Pancurák from Swiss Aqua Technologies, “said Siko CEO Tomáš Vala.

SAT products are currently sold in 46 countries on all continents of the world. The company has the largest turnover in Asia (China, India, Israel, Thailand or Iraq), in North and South America (USA, Brazil and Mexico) and in Europe (in addition to EU countries, the Balkans and Britain). The company is also trying to develop activities in Africa (Tunisia and Morocco), Australia and is also leading intensive negotiations with several customers interested in cooperating in Russia or New Zealand.

Siko Bath & Kitchen has been in business for 30 years. At the end of last year, it had over 900 employees.
