The developer of the AFI malls in Romania announced during CEDER 2021 that over the last two months it has managed to sign ten new long-term contracts for its shopping centers.
As Roxana Stanciulescu, Head of Retail Division AFI Europe Romania explained, the appetite for leasing is back and retail demand is increasing.
“In the last two months we managed to sign about ten new long-term contracts and we are having discussions with important brands for next year,” she said.
She added that AFI Europe Romania plans to invest more into its leisure and entertainment areas. “We have a clear plan of investment to expand the leisure and restaurant areas. It is clear this is the key to bring people together. In the end, we believe this will keep the malls alive,” she said.
