The French retailer specializing in construction, decoration and gardening, Leroy Merlin, expects business to grow in 2021, of RON 3 billion, and will open at least three new stores by 2024, the next city on the map being Brasov, according to CEO the company, Frédéric Lamy. Thus, in the spring of 2021, the French retailer will check 20 stores in Romania.
At the same time, the company starts the process of renovating the oldest stores it owns. Thus, this year begins the renovation of the Colosseum store, the first unit opened by the French in Romania, in 2011, and the one that generates the highest sales.
Leroy Merlin Romania ended 2020 with a turnover of EUR 2.5 billion, despite the closure of stores in March, and this year the financial expectations are higher.
