Sphera Group, the franchise operator of the restaurant chains KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell in Romania, reported for Q1 / 2021 a net profit of RON 0.5 million, compared to the loss of RON 9.5 million obtained in the same period last year, while sales amounted to RON 211.4 million, the equivalent of an increase of 6.6percent compared to Q1 / 2020.
“The first quarter of 2021 was the best quarter of the Sphera group on the Romanian market since the beginning of the pandemic in terms of restaurant sales. The result is all the more remarkable as it shows an increase in sales of over 6 percent compared to the same period last year, when only two weeks were affected by restrictions “, says Călin Ionescu, CEO of Sphera.
