On Saturday, new measures on the operation of stores and shopping centers will come into force in Croatia with the aim of preventing the spread of coronavirus infection. Under the new rules, stores that have up to 10 square meters of net area can have one customer at a time, while stores of 11 to 100 square meters must provide at least ten square meters for each customer.
Stores up to 200 square meters for each customer must provide 12 square meters, those up to 2000 square meters must provide 16 square meters, and those larger than 2000 square meters of net area must provide 20 square meters for each customer. For shopping malls, it is determined that they must have at least 16 meters for each customer.
For stores with more than 2,000 square feet of net area and shopping malls, they are also introducing additional necessary epidemiological measures, such as the suspension of organized transportation for customers and the introduction of wardens to prevent the entry of excessive numbers of people. Implement the decision, which remains in force until January 10 next year.
Stores and shopping centers are obliged to clearly display a notice at the entrance about the maximum number of customers allowed and to strictly adhere to these restrictions.
