The Kazakh-Romanian Energy Investment Fund (FIEKR) signed an engineering, procurement and construction contract with Turkish company Calik Enerji to develop a cogeneration plant on the former Petromidia platform in Midia. The fund is planning to invest about $148m in the project. The deadline for commissioning the new plant is the first half of 2023. The project is expected to generate about $11m annually.
