An investment vehicle of two Czechoslovak business moguls Daniel Křetinský and Patrik Tkáč have increased their position in the French-based retailer Casino to more than 5 percent. Casino’s boss Jean-Charles Naouri says the pair will be offered a position in the company’s board of supervisors. In September, they took a 4.63 percent position in Casino and have now increased that figure to 5.64 percent through their company Vesa Equity Investment. Křetinský and Tkáč have been buying up shares in Casino’s German-based competitor Metro and now control nearly 30 percent of the company.
