The operator of Rohlik.cz, Velká pecka, saw its revenues rise 62 percent to CZK 2.4bn for the period between May 2018 and May 2019. Just as significantly, the company made its first profit. That may have been just CZK 108,000, but it represented a huge improvement over the CZK 102 million loss from the year before. The data was published by the Czech News Agency, which assembled them from annual reports submitted for the years 2016 to 2018. The company’s owner Tomáš Čupr told CTK in a recent interview that his plans for Rohlik.cz are for turnover of CZK 4.5bn with expansion planned for smaller Czech towns like Olomouc, Prostějov and Chrudim as well as other Central European capitals such as Budapest.
