MK Fintel Wind has opened a wind farm near Vrsac in northern Serbia. The Kosava 1 wind farm is equipped with 20 wind turbines and will produce electricity for 45,000 households. The investment is valued at €118m. The second phase of the project has already started. Kosava 2 will feature an additional 15 wind turbines. “Renewable energy projects are not only important in the context of combating climate change, they are also good for the economy as they are bringing in huge investments and hundreds of new jobs,” said Tiziano Giovannetti, CEO of MK Fintel Wind. The company is also developing another wind farm in northern Serbia, near Sombor, which is expected to be the biggest in Europe. Construction will start in two to three years.
