A new 104.5 MW wind farm installed with 38 generators has opened in Kovacica, northern Serbia. The biggest wind farm in the country is expected to produce 300 GWh annually, providing electricity to 68,000 households and lowering carbon dioxide levels. More than 40 km of roads have been constructed and reconstructed for the needs of this facility. Israeli investor Enlight poured €189m into the project. Alona Fisher Kam, ambassador of Israel to Serbia, said that the Kovacica wind farm is Israel’s first and most significant investment in the energy sector in Serbia.
