By the end of 2019, new shopping centers are set to open in the Serbian towns of Uzice, Kusevac and Sremska Mitrovica. In the last of these, located in northern Serbia, Immofinanz is building a new Stop Shop retail park, which it expects to open by the end of August. The 7,000 sqm center will offer more than 20 stores along with 300 parking places. It’s the company’s 10th retail park in Serbia.
Meanwhile, the investor NEPI Rockcastle is completing a new shopping park in Krusevac, central Serbia. The first stage of Krusevac Shopping Park, located on Krfska street, will include 17 stores and employ 250 when it opens in September. NEPI Rockcastle estimates its investment in the project is around €12m. Once the second phase is completed, the park will have 9,000 sqm of retail and 300 parking spots. Among the first tenants are LC Waikiki, CCC, bookstore Vulkan, Sport Vision, Planeta Sport, Legend and Lilly.
Finally, RC Europe from the Czech Republic is due to complete work on its retail park Nest Uzice in western Serbia in October. It’s a 7,000 sqm center with 17 stores, featuring brands such as LC Waikiki, Koton, Djak sport, Gigatron and Lilly. The company has already built a retail park in Kraljevo and plans two more in Vrsac and Obrenovac.
