Notino aims for CZK 10bn in sales for 2019

The Czech on-line perfumes and cosmetics company Notino is targeting sales of CZK 10bn this year, having produced sales of CZK 8.4bn in 2018. Most of its income originates from its foreign operations and its biggest investments this year will be made in Poland, according to Hospodářské noviny. Along with expanding in Poland, Notino expects to enter the Swiss market this year. Originally named Parfums.cz, the on-line retailer eventually realized that creating its own brick & mortar stores would be essential to drive further growth. Today, it operates 19 stores, of which just six are in the Czech Republic. The first Austrian Notino store opened recently in Vienna’s Donau shopping mall. Marketing director Radek Radek Ondrášík says he expects to continue to grow at a double-digit rate this year. “If everything goes well, we could be getting close to the CZK 10bn level.” HN reports that the company has been profitable for years, earning CZK 86m in 2017.
