Arkad ABB S.p.A. is partnering with Arkad Engineering & Construction Company to expand Bulgaria’s gas transmission system. The Italian-Saudi consortium will build the second 474 km phase of the Turkish Stream pipeline, which will connect Bulgaria with other European countries. The public tender is valued at €1.102bn. Construction is scheduled to take 615 days. Gazprom recently completed two Turkish Stream pipelines along the Black Sea. One will supply Russian natural gas to Turkey, while the second pipeline will carry gas to Bulgaria, Serbia and Hungary.
