The luxury footwear retailer Christian Louboutin will be opening its first shop in Prague on Široka Street. The new store is also the first the company has opened in Central Europe and marks eastern edge of its European. The brand is active in 12 European markets, having opened a store in Birmingham over the summer. Christian Louboutin worked with JLL on securing the Prague store. “While it’s a relatively small market, thanks to its tourism sector Prague is in demand as a location,” said Tomáš Soukup, head of JLL’s retail division. “Judging by the number of directly owned stores, it’s clear that luxury goods retailers believe in the Czech and the Prague market. Pařižská Street and the streets around it have more than 50 luxury goods shops and 26 of them are directly owned.”
