Moneta Money Bank is moving 20 of its internal applications from its data center in Prague 4 to Amazon Web Services. In practice, this means the Amazon Web Services data center in Frankfurt will handle the data and traffic produced by these applications. According to the Lupa.cz website, the migration will take place during September and October and has been consulted with the Czech National Bank. The bank is transforming itself into primarily a digital bank, including a move away from traditional software providers like Oracle to open source-based systems.
