Approximately 90,000 sqm of new retail spaces is scheduled to be delivered in four cities across Romania in the second half of this year, according to Cushman & Wakefield Echinox. A significant increase from the 14,000 sqm that were delivered in the first six months of 2018. NEPI Rockcastle and Prime Kapital will deliver new space in Satu Mare, Baia Mare, Roman and Slobozia in H2. NEPI Rockcastle is also set to complete its 10,000 sqm expansion of Shopping City Sibiu by the end of the year. A second Ikea store, covering 37,000 sqm, is also expected to come on-line in Bucharest. Modern retail stock outside the capital has hit 2.43 million sqm.
