The Bulgarian company Melexis has begun construction of a new electronic components factory in Sofia. Its plans to invest €75m in the facility over the next five years. starts the construction of its new plant in Sofia. The work will add 15,000 sqm to its existing facility, allowing it to expand its production space and to strengthen research and development activities on the site. Another 100 employees are expected to be hired by the end of the year, while work on the plant should be completed by 2020.
