Three Bulgarian power plants to undergo €19.9m renovation

Three hydro power plants in Bulgaria are set to undergo extensive renovations. The Bulgarian National Electricity Company signed a contract with CKD Blansko, Koncar and Rudis, which will carry out the work. The contract is valued at €19.9m, €11.5m of which will be covered by a grant from the Kozloduy International Decommissioning Support Fund.
This contract is a part of bigger rehabilitation project planned for the Belmeken-Sestimo-Chaira hydro power complex, the Vacha-1 HPP 110kV switchyard and other HPP systems. The total budget for the project is €37m.
