The German on-line fashion retailer Zalando has made the Czech market its next target, following growth in Poland. The company is also expected to enter the Irish market over the summer, according to the iDnes server. “We believe that our unlimited range of goods, personalized customer experience and shopping comfort will resonate in the Czech Republic. We always try to expand cleverly, so we use our know-how from other European markets,” said executive director Rubin Ritter. Czech consumers will be able to pick from a wide portfolio of brands like TopShop, Vagabond, Verod Moda and Weekday. He says the company adds 9,000 new items each week and rotates as much as 95 percent of its offered goods each season. The Czech on-line sector saw revenues rise by 18 percent to CZK 115bn.
