Bosnia’s Ugljevik power plant to get flue gas desulphurization system

23 May 2018

A flue gas desulphurization unit at Bosnia’s Ugljevik coal-fired power plant is set for completion in mid-2019. More than 60 percent of the unit has already been installed. The system will be the first of its kind in Western Balkan. Project costs are estimated at €100m, with €80m being financed through a loan from the Japan International Cooperation Agency. This project is being managed by Yokogawa GmbH. The 300 MW lignite-fired Ugljevik power plant is located in northeastern Bosnia.
