Greece’s Public Power Corporation (PPC) acquired Macedonian electricity trading and supply company EDS Group for €4.8m. EDS Group provides electricity to large industries and has subsidiaries in Slovakia, Serbia and Kosovo. Founded in 2012, EDS, a member of the Hungarian Power Exchange, has trading licenses in Hungary, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo and Serbia; 40 percent of its customers are companies with more than 50 employees. PPC is the biggest electricity supply and power producer in Greece with about 7.4 million customers. Its power portfolio includes thermal and hydroelectric power plants, RES units.
