Wind farm Podvelezje under construction in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The first stage of construction has gotten underway on new wind farm in Podvelezje, Bosnia and Herzegovina. This project is divided into three stages, with completion planned for mid-2019. The wind farm will have a capacity of 48MW following an investment of €162m. A portion of this investment €65m will be financed by German KfW, while 20 percent will be provided by Elektroprivreda BiH. Stage 1 includes the procurement, design, and construction of fifteen 3 MW turbines. The second stage will cover construction of 30/110kV transformer substations, power cables, optical cabling and ground networks. A consortium of companies from Mostar will be in charge of the construction, including HP Investing, Amitea and Izgradnja Tojaga. ABB Zagreb will prepare and install the substation and 30kV cable system.
