US restaurant chain Domino’s Pizza opened its first restaurant in Bratislava on Krížna street. APIM Gastro is managing the brand’s expansion in Slovakia through a franchise from Domino’s Pizza and says it plans to open further restaurants across Slovakia in the “near future,” but the expansion may be slowed down by a lack of labor, according to Trend.sk. Domino’s Pizza operates 14,000 restaurants across 85 countries, with the majority operated through franchises. Pizza Hut, its strongest competition, has 16,000 restaurants in 100 countries.
