British American Tobacco will open new production facility this week in Vranje, southern Serbia, following a €3m investment. The facility will include a new packing line that will be
adapted to global standards and market demands. The company is the biggest British
investor in Serbia. Its new facility is expected to add new jobs to the local labor market and increase BAT’s export volume. In 2016, BAT opened a €5m production plant in Vranje, increasing its capacities by 40 percent. Founded in 1902, BAT is a leading multinational
tobacco company, with more than 200 brands and 58,000 employees worldwide.
