Euromedia Group, a leading book wholesaler and member of the Rockaway group, purchased a network of 26 Neoluxor bookstores, including the Palác knih on Wenceslas Square in Prague 1, which is considered the largest bookstore in Central Europe. The price of the transaction was not disclosed. The merger still needs to be approved by the antimonopoly office. Euromedia wants to expand and strengthen its network of brick-and-mortar stores. In June, the company bought the book distributor Folio and Bookretail, which operates the e-shop Levneucebnice.cz. Rockaway, owned by Jakub Havrlant, has a vast portfolio which includes the largest Czech e-shop Mall.cz, price comparator Heureka.cz and the travel agency Invia.cz.
