Meritage Homes Corporation has closed on the purchase of 200 acres of raw land for the development of a single family home community called Hawk’s Crest. Located in the Orlando submarket of Winter Park along Lake Howell, the property is expected to house more than 700 lots, including 250 town homes and 458 single family homes. The scheme Hawk’s Crest will offer four home models ranging from approximately 1,600 to 5,200 square feet. Ranging from three to six bedrooms, the homes are expected to be priced from $260,000 to $635,000. The gated community’s on-site amenities will include lake access, running trails, resort style pools and a community clubhouse. The project will mark the company’s twenty first community in the greater Orlando metro area. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
