Cotroceni Park SA has initiated court proceedings to evict Waikiki, a tenant at AFI Palace Cotroceni. The court documents were filed Jan. 26 at the District Six Courthouse in Bucharest. The court dismissed the eviction request, but Cotroceni Park has appealed the decision.
LC Waikiki is a French discount fashion retailer founded in 1985. The brand operates 20 stores in Romania, Iraq, Albania, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Russia. The first LC Waikiki Romania store opened in April 2010 at Atrium Center Arad. Other LC Waikiki stores were opened in AFI Palace Cotroceni, Unirea Shopping Center Bucharest, Constanta City Park, Gold Plaza Baia Mare and Militari Shopping Center.
