Tulip Center in the city of Martin, northern Slovakia, is set to undergo a massive expansion. The new owner, Alfa Group, developer of the Korzo centers, plans to add additional shops, a fitness center and a multiplex to the scheme. The building will also be equipped with energy-saving technologies. The center currently offers 80 shops across 11,000 sqm of retail space and approximately 500 parking spots. Alfa Group plans to expand the project by adding a two-level extension with an additional 9,500 sqm of retail space. The plans also include a new facade and glazed entrances. Tulip Center was built in 2006 by Dutch Redema Group. Pramerica Real Estate bought the property immediately after completion. Alfa Group, an international company active in Hungary, Austria, Germany and Slovakia, took it over last year.
