Alteo, the Hungarian energy services provider, acquired Sinergy from the local units of Germanyʼs RWE-EnBW. The two parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price in the transaction. The acquisition gives Alteo 100 percent control of nine project companies and partial stakes in two others owned by Sinergy. News that a deal of this nature was in the works emerged last December and appears to be linked to a move towards greater control by local Hungarian interests of energy supplies.
