Škoda Auto is working with the Czech online retailers Alza.cz and Rohlik.cz to roll out a service through which deliveries would be made to the owners of its newest cars. Rather than picking a street address or pick-up point for their purchases, customers will be able to ask that deliveries be directly to the boot of their cars. The courier receives information where the car is located and a code valid for only a short period time that will open the back door of the vehicle. A picture is sent of the goods after being placed in the car, the car is locked and the customer gets a message that the delivery has been completed. The companies haven’t set a date yet to launch the new service.
