Alza.cz will not offer be submitting its goods to the Czech price comparison on-line engine Heureka. THe Czech e-shop claims Heureka is about to be taken over by Rockaway, an investment group which already owns Mall.cz, the second-largest Czech e-shop. Alza’s marketing manager Karel Kučera told Hospodářské noviny that Heureka now offers its price comparison service a commercial basis and can no longer be considered independent. Rockaway’s acquisition of Heureka will still have to be approved by the Antimonopoly office. Alza.cz’s turnover rose 24 percent to CZK 14.5 bn last year and it handled five million orders.
